block website without software


This method well show you have to block all sites that you dont need or maybe you just need to block for security reason. There are many ways to do this it might be the use of software or by just using your built in filter trough host. The hosts file is responsible to maps host names to IP addresses.it is a plain text file.This method support windows 7,windows  8, 8.1 and windows  10.


 Step 1. On the RUN Comman type in " C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc "

STEP 2: Find the File named “HOSTS” and right click open with notepad.



STEP 3: Under “127.0.0.1 localhost” just add the site you want to block.

Example: 127.0.0.2 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.3 www.youtube.com


STEP 4: Save the file & exit notepad. (Restart your computer for changes.)
